Heritage Park Dental has been providing trusted dental health services to clients since 2005. Part of our success is the belief that improving the oral health of our patients, and the positive experiences that they have with us will keep our practice growing.
We provide the dental work to help you maintain optimum oral health. This includes dental services like oral check-ups, digital x-rays, dental fillings, mouth guards and bite adjustments. We also perform more specialized dentistry, like crowns & bridges and root canal therapy. When complicated surgery or greater specialization is needed, we refer to trusted specialists.
We also offer more complicated surgical treatments such as implant placement surgery and wisdom teeth extractions.

Dr. Troy Michelson

Dr. Troy Michelson
Dr. Troy Michelson received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) with distinction and several awards for his clinical and academic skills from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999. He has recently become part of the Passion Dental Group and will continue to practice at Heritage Park Dental.
Dr. Michelson takes great pride in providing optimal dentistry for all his patients. With his eye for detail and thorough approach, he strives for successful results in all he does. He believes that you never stop learning. That is why his pursuit of knowledge through continuing education is so important to him, keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and procedures; including: Digitally Planned and Guided Implants, AI based treatment planning, Botox, Sleep Apnea and Sedation Dentistry.
Dr. Michelson serves his community passionately, giving freely of both his time and his expertise. Giving back is of utmost importance to him, and over the past ten years, he has made yearly trips to the dental clinic he helps sponsor in Rwanda. He spends these trips providing dentistry to the locals and mentoring dental therapists to provide dental care when he is not there.
He has also made dental mission trips to Honduras, Ecuador, and Cambodia. For Dr. Michelson, giving back doesn’t stop with dentistry. He and his family volunteer regularly at the Drop-In-Centre, serving meals to those less fortunate.
When not helping his patients, you will find Dr. Michelson on the water with his family, skimming the surface at high speed on a water ski, a surfboard, or just his bare feet. He also is an avid Pickleball player. He loves spending time in the great outdoors and exploring the world. Dr. Michelson is the devoted father of three boys, a girl, and recently proudly earned the nickname “Grandpa T” with the addition of a cute grandson. Being a parent/grandparent has taught him the importance of patience, compassion, and kindness, evident in how he deals with all those he helps.

Dr. Bhavisha Thankey
Dr. Thankey believes that oral health is a very important aspect of general health. One of her passions is helping anxious and dentalphobic patients access dental care. Growing up she had a fear of the dentist herself and understands how stressful and anxiety provoking a dental appointment can be. She believes good communication, empathy and compassion from the dental team are important in making patients feel comfortable. She enjoys engaging with patients and motivating them to play an active role in their own oral health.
Dr. Thankey was born and raised in Calgary. She has always had a passion for healthcare and artistry, so dentistry was a natural combination of the two, allowing her to practice in an rapidly advancing evidence based field while maintaining the individuality to create something beautiful. Fun fact Dr. Thankey loves to travel so after receiving a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a Major in Zoology from the University of Calgary, she travelled across the world to sunny Sydney, Australia to study dentistry and receive her DMD. She then worked across Australia in large cities and small regional communities in both the public and private sector gaining valuable skills and experience. She has brought these skills back to Calgary (along with her husband) and is ready to provide excellent dental care to Calgarians.
When she’s not at clinic she enjoys spending time with her two babies, one fur and one human. On weekends she tries to get out to the mountains and go hiking and skiing. She is also a bit of a foodie and loves trying out new recipes in the kitchen and visiting all the restaurants in Calgary’s ever changing food scene. She would love to hear your recommendations!

Dr. Gurjyot Johal
Dr. Johal received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with Distinction from the University of Western Australia. He completed his undergraduate in a Bachelor of Health Sciences with an Honor’s Specialization in Biology from the University of Western Ontario.
Some of his passions are in Oral Surgery and Full Mouth Rehabilitation where he has had extensive training when practicing in Australia. He has a strong experience with working alongside indigenous communities to help better their oral health and overall health literacy. He is very passionate in educating his patients in oral health and is a firm believer that patient autonomy is crucial in creating collaborative treatment plans with his patients. He has a passion in aesthetic procedures for his patients as he believes a beautiful smile is the first thing people look at.
Dr. Johal was raised in the small beach town of White Rock, near Vancouver, which was influential in his decision to move to the western coast of Australia for his schooling. When he is not in clinic her enjoys golfing, surfing, snowboarding, and travelling. He is a car enthusiast and enjoys taking his dog Mylo on rides during the hot summer days.

Dr. Boyko enjoys many aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, restorative work, Invisalign®️, Botox, and more! But his special interests lie in root canal therapy, wisdom teeth and implant surgery. He believes in high-quality, conservative dentistry, and prioritizes long-term outcomes in the care he provides. All his patients have to feel informed and well cared for. Whether it is a routine dental care, or extensive treatment, he will work with you to make a plan that meets your needs. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with family and great outdoors Alberta has to offer.

Originally from Ireland, Dr. Catherine Eager completed her dental training at University College Cork, graduating with honours in 2015. During her studies she was awarded the American Academy of Operative Dentistry Prize for excellence in restorative care provided to her patients, along with several academic awards.
Dr. Eager is known for her gentle touch, attention to detail, and compassionate nature. She strongly believes in empowering patients with all their treatment options, and the knowledge to make confident, informed decisions about their oral health.
With over 10 years of experience as a general dentist, she is always committed to ongoing professional development and providing the highest standard of care. She has advanced training in Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, biomimetic dentistry and therapeutic and cosmetic Botox.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Eager enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains, camping, hiking or skiing. She also loves good food and wine and discovering new spots around Calgary.
Dr. Eric Van Bergeyk
Dr. Eric Van Bergeyk graduated from UBC Dentistry in 2012, with excellent academic and clinical standing. Dr. Van Bergeyk provides treatment in many aspects of general dentistry, with particular focus on conservative restorative approach to quality treatment. Dr. Van Bergeyk is committed to pursuing excellence and continues to expand his education in the areas of emerging dental technologies. Dr. Van Bergeyk strives to provide quality dental care with gentle, patient-centered treatment. He listens to each patient’s unique concerns and provides you with a good understanding of treatment options available, allowing you to make informed decisions for your dental care.
Prior to becoming a dentist, Eric worked as an aircraft structural technician, repairing and maintaining Boeing 737 aircraft. Eric enjoys weight training, golf and hiking in the summer, and skiing in the winter months. Dr. Eric Van Bergeyk looks forward to meeting you as a patient with heritage park dental.
